How to make a lunch / break schedule

Error when trying to import data from QuickBooks

Setting up Snap Schedule to E-mail schedules

If you plan to use Snap Schedule to e-mail schedules to your employees, you will need to configure e-mail delivery using the "E-mail Settings" tab on the "Business Information" dialog box and have access to the Internet when using this feature.

Invoke tracing at application startup

Issue:

In order to help resolve some technical issues, Business Management Systems may request that you send a trace log of your latest Snap Schedule session. This procedure is only necessary to help us resolve an issue that requires further investigation.

If you are asked to do so, you can use the following steps to create a trace log file that you can e-mail to us.

The method to start an application varies by operating system. Use the appropriate instructions below for your system:


Windows XP

  • Close Snap Schedule
  • Click on the "Start" menu in the Windows system tray
  • Select the "Run" menu
  • Enter or copy and paste the following (including the quotation marks on one single line):

    For Snap Schedule 2009: "C:\Program Files\Business Management Systems\Snap Schedule 2009\SnapSchedule.exe" /tracefile=c:\SSTrace.log /tracelevel=3"
    For Snap Schedule 2010:"C:\Program Files\Business Management Systems\Snap Schedule 2010\SnapSchedule.exe" /tracefile=c:\SSTrace.log /tracelevel=3"
  • Run Snap Schedule as desired and close the application
  • E-mail the trace file named "SSTrace.log" and located in C:\ to us at support@bmscentral.com.



32 bit Windows Vista OR 32 bit Windows 7

  • Close Snap Schedule

SQL File Sharing Violation Error When Trying to E-mail Schedules

Issue:

When trying to e-mail schedule information to employees, sometimes a SQL error indicating a "File Sharing Violation" is displayed. This prevents the e-mail wizard from operating normally.

Note: This only occurs when the Schedule file is located on a network share.
